We do not currently describe Google Analytics as an active website service in this policy because it is not presently known to be installed on the website.

6. Marketing and business visitor-identification technologies

Marketing technologies may help us understand interest in our products and services, measure business engagement and support sales or business-development activity.

Lead Forensics

We use Lead Forensics after a visitor has allowed both analytics and marketing technologies.

Lead Forensics is a business visitor-identification, website-analytics and business-development service.

When activated, it may process:

  • the visitor’s IP address;
  • the date and time of the visit;
  • page addresses and page titles;
  • referring website information;
  • browser and user-agent information;
  • operating-system and device-environment information;
  • screen dimensions;
  • interactions with website content;
  • downloads of brochures, datasheets, manuals and similar files; and
  • unique visit or request identifiers.

Lead Forensics and its technology or data-enrichment partners may use IP-address and network information to infer:

  • the organisation or network associated with a visit;
  • the type of network connection;
  • an approximate location;
  • business or audience classifications; and
  • other organisation-level information.

The information may be inaccurate and may identify only an internet provider, mobile network, public connection or approximate location rather than the visitor’s employer.

During testing of our current implementation, the Lead Forensics service reported that its own browser-storage strategy was disabled and that no existing Lead Forensics UUID cookie was available.

However, the service still transmits website, device, IP-address and visit information after consent. It may also generate a unique identifier for the relevant visit or request.

Lead Forensics is therefore treated as a non-essential analytics and marketing technology even where it does not place its own persistent identifier on a particular device.

7. Functional technologies

Functional technologies may allow the website to remember choices or provide enhanced functionality that is not strictly necessary.

Depending on the website’s configuration, these may include:

  • display preferences;

Lead Forensics has not published a single fixed retention period that applies to all information processed through this service. The applicable period may therefore depend on the type of information, the service configuration and the contractual arrangements in place.
